Systematic Review Paper Description In a systematic review, researchers carefully and transparently integrate evidence about a specific research question using methodical procedures spelled out in advance. The study is thorough so that readers of a systematic review can assess the integrity of the conclusions.
The Systematic Review begins with a problem statement in which you discuss the significance of the problem. This is followed by the PICOT question you developed with key concepts defined.
The next section of the paper should include how the review was conducted (e.g., the databases and keywords used and what was uncovered).
Discussing the state of the science concerning your topic of interest will be the central portion of your paper. Critically appraise a minimum of ten (10) current (within the last five years) peer-reviewed research studies for this paper. Choose research articles that provide a variety/mixture of interprofessional perspectives on your topic. Draw conclusions about the quality of evidence related to the research question.
Finally, you will comment on how this knowledge contributes to nursing knowledge and practice and what gaps exist about the phenomena of interest.
The paper should be between 6-8 pages in length (not including the title and reference pages).
